The Cambridge School Kolkata’s school-leaving A Level qualifications are widely accepted in India for the purpose of admission to Indian colleges and universities, as well as meeting eligibility criteria for competitive exams like the Joint Entrance Test. Some of the reputed institutions in the country that recognize and hold A Level Certifications at par with Indian qualifications for meeting eligibility conditions include Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), St Stephen’s College, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) and National Law Institute University recognize A Levels and hold them at par with Indian qualifications for meeting eligibility conditions.

The Cambridge School is registered with Cambridge Assessment International Education , the only exam board wholly owned by a world-leading university, the University of Cambridge.

The school is the first one in Kolkata and entire West Bengal to hold board examinations in its own premises.

The Cambridge School is registered with College Board, USA (School Code: 671093).

Scholarships

The fruits of one’s labour are always sweet. And in our case they can be extremely rewarding as well. At The Cambridge School, Calcutta we believe in rewarding merit and aiding excellence. Hence TCS offers four Scholarships honouring the school’s most academically distinctive students. The scholarships are available in Class X and in Humanities, Business Studies and Sciences in Class XI. The winner of each of these scholarships has his or her Academic Fees waived for one year.

And that’s not all! Far from it.

The School also awards various prizes and merit certificates to students for both academic and co-curricular achievements. So bright students can not only study free, but also shine and be recognised for their achievements.

Technology

Computers and the internet are now a way of life and imperative in today’s world where digital literacy is growing by the day. Keeping our students abreast of the latest developments in this field is The Cambridge School Computer Centre keeps our students abreast of the latest developments in this field to assist them in curricular as well as co-curricular activities.. The internet while freely available is closely monitored.

The Cambridge School emphasises on the intelligent and exhaustive use of IT in education. Our High School students as well as teachers have started using Google Classroom, an interactive net-based app that helps teachers and students connect the class, track progress and achieve more together.
This blended learning platform for schools expands the scope of teaching by including web-based material, class discussions on the net that often lead to both clarifications and interest in topics, and the creation, distribution and gradation of assignments in a paperless way.

Recognising the numerous advantages it offers, apart from being a separate academic course, IT is widely deployed across the board and integrated in the teaching of many subjects.

Computing is also offered as an academic subject at both IGCSE and A Levels.

Management

The management committee of The Cambridge School is headed by Mrs Sunita Chowdhary, Principal, since 2011. Coordinators of different sections of the school report to her.
